Terms and Conditions

1. General Acknowledgment
By scheduling or authorizing service from Ace Dockside Services LLC (“Ace Dockside Services,” “we,” or “us”), the vessel owner or authorized agent (“Customer,” “you”) acknowledges and agrees to all terms and conditions set forth herein.
Ace Dockside Services LLC performs mobile marine repair and maintenance services at the vessel’s location. While every precaution is taken to ensure safety and care, Ace Dockside Services LLC is not responsible for any loss or damage to the vessel, its equipment, or personal property due to fire, theft, acts of God, environmental conditions, or any other cause beyond our reasonable control.
All reports of damage or service concerns must be made at the time of service completion.
2. Insurance Requirement
All vessels must be covered by current and valid insurance held by the registered owner while work is being performed. Proof of insurance may be requested prior to the start of service.
The Customer acknowledges that Ace Dockside Services LLC does not provide insurance coverage for the vessel or its contents.
3. Access to Vessel
The Customer must ensure safe and reasonable access to the vessel and surrounding work area.
This includes ensuring:

The vessel is properly secured and safely supported if on land or lift;

Power, water, and any necessary utilities are available when required; and

There are no safety hazards that may interfere with the work being performed.
Ace Dockside Services LLC reserves the right to refuse or suspend work if unsafe or unsuitable conditions are present.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Customers with a credit card on file authorize Ace Dockside Services LLC to charge the card upon completion of work, unless another form of payment is requested in writing prior to service commencement.
Invoices unpaid after thirty (30) days may be subject to a finance charge of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum allowed by law. The Customer is responsible for all reasonable collection costs, including attorney fees.
4A. Deposits and Materials Procurement
Ace Dockside Services LLC does require a deposit prior to beginning repair work/ replacement part installation to cover the cost of materials, parts, or special-order items needed for the job.

Deposits will be applied toward the final invoice total.

In the event a project is canceled after materials have been ordered or delivered, the Customer is responsible for the actual cost of materials and any applicable restocking or handling fees.

Work will be delayed or postponed until the required deposit has been received.
5. Estimates and Additional Work
Ace Dockside Services LLC may provide written or verbal estimates for services or repairs.

Estimates are valid for fourteen (14) days from the date issued.

All estimates are prepared in good faith; however, Ace Dockside Services LLC is not bound by the original estimate if additional labor, materials, or parts are required due to unforeseen circumstances, hidden damage, or supplier price changes.

The Customer will be notified of any additional costs before work proceeds.
A minimum labor charge applies to each service call or work order.
6. Fiberglass and Gelcoat Disclaimer
Due to the nature of fiberglass and gelcoat repairs, the full extent of damage may not be visible until work has begun. If additional issues are identified during the repair process, Ace Dockside Services LLC will promptly notify the Customer.
Any additional charges resulting from such findings will be discussed and authorized before proceeding.
7. Bottom Paint Disclaimer
Ace Dockside Services LLC does not guarantee adhesion of antifouling paint or coatings applied over existing surfaces.
If existing primers or paint layers are not adhering correctly, Ace Dockside Services LLC cannot guarantee the performance or longevity of the new coating.
Our recommended corrective process includes:

Sandblasting to bare gelcoat;

Wiping all existing paint and primer with brushing thinner (especially at the waterline);

Sanding the hull below the waterline to properly scour the surface (note: not all existing paint/primer may be removed)

Removing all sanding dust

Applying fresh primer and paint.
This process may be billed separately at additional cost.
8. Limitation of Liability
Ace Dockside Services LLC’s total liability for any claim related to services performed shall be limited to the total amount paid for those services. Under no circumstances shall Ace Dockside Services LLC be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of use, profits, or value.
9. Ownership, Storage, and Property Rights
Ace Dockside Services LLC does not take custody, storage, or possession of any vessels. The Customer retains full responsibility for the security and safety of the vessel, its equipment, and contents at all times.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State in which the services are performed. Any dispute shall be resolved in the appropriate court of jurisdiction for that state or county.
11. Acknowledgment
By scheduling, authorizing, or accepting service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all Terms and Conditions set forth herein. You further authorize Ace Dockside Services LLC to perform the requested services and to charge the authorized payment method upon completion. Signature is required and document will be emailed prior to service.
